We are taking the day off in Burgos.....to rest our feet and backs and to see Sue off on the bus to London this evening. We have had some interesting experiences along the way including a very laid-back albergue that turned out to be a hoot....but we did have a private room with bath for 14 euros.....on the third floor with steep steps....hard work to climb after a long walk.
Burgos is bustling.....going to go inside the cathedral later today....still enjoying the bread, enjoying the chocolate croissants, vino tinto, cervezas, and now calamari.

You all are looking good and the scenery is really nice! SO today is rest, sleep, eat, drink and let Dr D's handy work kickin. Nice Job on the toe Dr D! On the map in your pics , assuming the EATPA is the elevation change? Like your shopping buddies, seems whereever you go the cats find you, what's with that!!??
Weather has come off a bit here with the heat cooling to a more traditional temp. A little cloudy but still nice. Rebec & Dylan surfed Long Beach ice waters! Stay well enjoy the rest and keep those blogs coming with pics when you can
A rest day sounds a very good idea.
Ouch the toe looks nasty; hoping that is betadine or iodine, not blood. Joanie's mum died yesterday and J&R are on their way to Capetown today. Sad but not unexpected.
